Why can't I see any of the youths' faces in pictures?Many of our campers are still in state custody. The Department of Family & Children's Services (DFCS) does not allow pictures of foster children to be posted publicly to protect their identity.

How much does summer camp cost?$0.00! We work very hard to keep all of our programs free to our youth. We rely on private donations and sponsorships in order to do this. Visit our Donate page to make a donation!

Is Camp Horizon just a summer camp?No! Camp Horizon is made up of several programs, outings and activities. We have year-round events for the children, teens, and young adults in our programs. Our youth are expected to attend all of our programming including the Opportunity/Enrichment Days, outings, Leadership Development Program (12-17).

I have a foster child between 8-11 years old. How do I sign him/her up?Please fill out the Camper Referral Form located here. New youth must be between 8-10 years old and currently in state custody. If you have specific questions about a camper's eligibility, please contact our program director by emailing courtney.lindner@camphorizon.net.

I have a teenage foster child. Can (s)he participate in your programs?Unfortunately, we do not accept new youth over 10 years old.

What is Camp Horizon?Camp Horizon is a nonprofit organization that provides year-round, no-cost programs to children, teens, and young adults who have experienced abuse/neglect and/or who are in foster care.

How do I volunteer at an event?Reach out to us at courtney.lindner@camphorizon.net! We always need summer camp counselors and volunteers for our year-round events.
